1. Strictly necessary

These make the site work at all. They cannot be switched off, and they are not used to track you or to advertise.

• pep_consent (Pro English Publishing) — stores the cookie preferences you chose, so we do not ask again on every page. 6 months.
• preferredLocale (Pro English Publishing) — remembers the language you selected. Browser local storage, not a cookie sent to the server. Until cleared.
• __cf_bm (Cloudflare) — bot protection for the contact form and the site generally. 30 minutes.

2. Analytics — needs your permission

Google Analytics tells us how many people visit, from which countries, and which pages they read. If you refuse, no Google file is loaded and none of these cookies is set.

• _ga (Google, United States) — distinguishes visitors for visit counts. 2 years.
• _ga_<id> (Google, United States) — keeps analytics session state. 2 years.

3. Session recording — needs your permission

Microsoft Clarity anonymously records how you scroll and where you click, and builds heatmaps and playbacks from that. We ask for it separately from analytics because it is a different and more intrusive purpose. If you refuse, nothing is recorded.

• _clck (Microsoft, United States) — keeps a browser identifier to group visits. 1 year.
• _clsk (Microsoft, United States) — joins the pages of one session into a single recording. 1 day.
• MUID, CLID, ANONCHK (Microsoft) — identifiers Clarity relies on. Up to 13 months.

4. Cookies set by the course platform

Our courses are hosted by Thinkific on their own domain. When you enrol or sign in there, Thinkific sets its own cookies under its own policy, which we neither control nor can change on your behalf. See Thinkific's privacy policy.

5. Withdrawing your permission

Use the "Cookie preferences" control in the footer of any page, or the button at the top of this one. When you withdraw a permission we delete the associated cookies and stop loading that service. Refusing does not restrict access to any content on this site.

You can also delete or block cookies from your browser settings. Deleting the pep_consent cookie means we will ask again, since that is where your choice is recorded.
